Frequently Asked Questions
How much notice do you need for an order?
We require at least a weeks notice for small cupcake orders. Orders larger than 24, or that require custom designs/fondant need at least 2 weeks notice. All cakes require at least 2 weeks notice to plan and prepare.
For small, simple orders we can try our best to fit you in short notice, but no guarantee! We understand these things slip our minds sometimes!
For peace of mind, it is always best to get in touch as soon as possible so you can be sure you can get your cake (& eat it too!) for when you are needing it for!
How long do our cakes stay fresh?
Our Cakes are level 1 in food safety. This means that all products must be able to be safely stored at room temp to avoid any drying out!
We have tested this and have found they can stay fresh for just over a week out of the fridge in an airtight container (in cool, dry conditions). It is also safe to store in the freezer if you won't be eating the leftovers soon.
We recommend a Maximum of 2 months in the freezer to maintain quality.
How do I store my cakes before the time to serve?
If possible, please keep in the original packaging before serving to avoid potential mishaps.
If it is a cool day, you can keep it out as long as it is kept out of direct sunlight.
But for peace of mind, we recommend keeping it in the fridge until 1-2 hours before serving (depending on weather-cold=longer time).
How should I transport them?
It is best to prepare a cleared area in your car away from loose objects and preferably at the footwell or boot of your car to maintain levelness and to minimize potential direct sunlight.
Drive carefully and avoid any harsh turns or braking suddenly.
*Car mats are a great tool to limit any sliding around.
